On our way to the second crossing of the Manhattan bridge and back on the Brooklyn Bridge, we passed again Chinatown. This time it was Sunday Afternoon and there were a lot of tourists strolling along the streets and Chinese people who were carrying goods from one place to another one.

After visiting the Empire State Building in the morning, we made a trip on a ferry from the Circle Line Corp. Our tour lasted 90 minutes. Start and finish was the quay at the 42nd street on Hudson river. The ferry took us around the south part of Manhattan, past the Statue of Liberty and went under the BMW-Bridges (Brooklyn, Manhattan, Williamsburg) and back again. The best places on the ferry, concerning the view, were at the rear on the left side. And this was exactly where we were ...

After the walk upon the german bridges we were heading north to the Trump Tower with its "decadent" interiour. Than strolling down the Park Avenue to the famous Waldorf-Astoria Hotel and the Grand Central Station.

Manhattan Bridge and Brooklyn Bridge | New York City | USA | 2014-06-12
The so-called german bridges Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge and Williamsburg Bridge ("B-M-W") connect the Manhattan Island with Brooklyn. A nice trip to walk is that you start in Chinatown at the south side pedestrian way of the Manhattan Bridge (with spectacular views to the Brooklyn Bridge) heading to Brookyln and take the wooden pedestrian trail of the Brooklyn Bridge to come back to Manhattan.
