In summer 2017 there will be for a whole decade 2 giant pandas as an exhibit in the Berlin Zoo. Until then the other animals are worth seeing. So I was there during my summer holidays.

Beelitz-Heilstätten is a large complex 1 hour south of Berlin. It was built as a health resort for lungs patients in the beginning of the 20th century. After the 2nd world war the russian military took the buildings and made the largest russian military hospital outside Russia. After the German reunification some of the houses has been modernized, some other houses decay. Since 2015 there is a treetop walk over the decayed buildings.
