In the travel guide book I read about this cemetery as a nice spot. In reality it was quite nice…. But for the most part there were newer tombs. Nothing for me :-)

One day of our holiday I took my bike to cycle the 25 km southward to Bremerhaven. It was great to drive along the coast with gorgious views of the waterway to Bremerhaven.

The main attractions for tourists are found at the Havenwelten and include the German Emigration Center, the German Maritime Museum, The Klimahaus and a lot of other modern buildings.

It is rather a small animal park than a real zoo, but ... it is a wonderful compact oasis directly at the estuary of the river Weser. At that time there was a young Icebear to watch.

The Klimahaus ("Science Center") Bremerhaven was opened on 26 June 2009 by the Irish musician and human rights activist Bob Geldof. It shows on an area of 11.500 sqm the way along the
8th east longitude. Stations are Switzerland, Italy, Niger, Cameroons, Antarctic, Samoa, Alaska and Germany.
