The Bärenwald Müritz is a bear sanctuary at the southern tip of Lake Plau, Mecklenburg-West Pomerania. It was opened in October 2006 and is a project of the animal welfare organization "Vier Pfoten". The Bear Forest gives bears from poor posture, a pet-friendly home. With a total of 16 hectares of forest it is Western Europe's largest bear sanctuary. Origin: wikipedia
